Focus

I think I must focus in art. Colors are tough for me. Oil pastels tougher. In haste and in an unfocused manner I got for myself skin colored pencils and oil pastels set. 

I have decided to focus. And hope I stay focused too. I shall do pencils only and restrict to portraits and cartoons in pencils. This will fetch higher results and give satisfaction too. 

Trying to learn color in oil pastels from internet is not going to help me much. I feel. 

A chips pack

 It is tough.  Damn tough.  I attempted. 

I tried to copy a real Bingo Mad Angles pack 🤪 😤. 

Oil pastels are great but not meant for fine and smaller coloring.  I should try on A3 or A2. Lesson 1.

Then realistic rendering is so tough. Perspective has to be absolutely correct. Lesson 2.

Then coloring a realistic drawing.  Lesson 3.

My plans are to buy chart paper and cut ✂️ in half and move ahead. Because  I plan to use oil pastels. 

This weekend I shall try. A snack pack 😋 in A3.

My art life

 

Come Sunday and I spend my time doing art like above. A face portrait; some cartoons; and crayons.

One hour of time goes like that. 

I realize that face portraits and crayons have to be tried with real faces; real trees 🌳 or real flowers 💐. But that is a art technology of its own. It requires a lot of skill, patience and right guidance.  

Drawing  arbitrarily the above is just imagination ✨ and doesn't have "money" value. 

There are methods, techniques, secrets involved in realistic drawings. 

My lifetime aim would be to get into realistic rendering fully. Because  it is  "proper" and "accurate " and is "money ".

Two decisions made

There are two decisions I made.

One on realistic portraits.  I decided to practice on hair, white hairs and old age wrinkles.  Here is a recent work. Only HB pencil used.  And common white A4 sheet.

The second on music speakers.  Though I am not going to buy; I mentally made up my mind.

It is JBL Partybox 100. If at all I will buy.

It took me four days to come to the decision on JBL Partybox 100.

My considerations were like this.

I listen to old hindi bollywood songs 🎵.  Bhajans. Carnatic. Prayers. Arijit Singh. Neha Kakkar. Mohit Chauhan. Ghazal. Justin Bieber.  Taylor Swift.

While Philips BT122/94 was good. It was not good enough for Arijit Singh, Neha Kakkar, Mohit Chauhan and others. Point 1.

Then which one? I was guided by Tata choice of Harman brand for their vehicles. Point 2.

I had almost decided on Harman Kardon Aura3; when I considered another point. Ease of availability in shops. Point 3.

So JBL Partybox 100 seemed correct.
