My foldable chair arrived yesterday. 

But I did not use it. Instead I clicked a photo and drew this from mobile image. 

This is my first drawing of Ranchi SAIL Satellite Colony. 

Is art level 85 to 90 feasible?

I have interacted with Google Gemini and I have found that my art level is 50 to 55.

The greats like Proko, Kim Jung Gi,  Rembert Montald,  David Finch are 95 to 100.

Can I reach 85 to 90 level ? This is the question I asked myself. 

I am interested in 1. Objects in front drawing.  2. Comics drawing.  3. Anatomy drawing. 

Luckily,  I have an analytical mind and have mapped my weaknesses.  They are

1. My perspective point changes over time when drawing an objectin front. Possibly I have fish eye problem and I need conscious correction.

2. Form making of shapes imagined or seen,  is weak. I have weaknesses in 3d carvings, 3d mannequins. I need practices. 

3. Shading. My shading is average and my shading need to speak. So to say. I need improvement. 

If I improve first ;5 points will rise. If I improve second ;10 points. And if I improve third; 20 points.

Then I shall reach 85 to 90.

Objects in front 

Anatomy 

I don't try to show off with my drawings.  I am humble in front of masters.

I am doing this blog post to apprise my blog readers as to what I am currently doing. 

These two practices shall continue for 6 months or more. Till I get great mastery.

Micro-Drawing

When I say I want to draw objects in front, I am talking of Micro level things.

I am talking of Disney level thoughts. David Finch level thoughts. 

But at the same time I am not talking of hyper-realistic drawings.  I mean line drawings only.

I have an advantage in cosine hatching. I presume I have an advantage in proportions because of golden ratio expressions.

I shall be using only graphite pencils only.

To allow my pencil to do the talking for now

I presently think that I should concentrate on my pencil to do the talking. Meaning to draw objects that are in front of me. I intend to do this till I achieve professionalism in this. About 3 months. 

I shall then extend this actual object drawing to drawing from imagination. After 3 months.

I have changed my plans because things were getting muddled in my head. I told myself let my pencil do the talking first. Let me master to professional level objects in front. Then proceed further.

Shirdi Sai Baba

I felt like drawing an object in front of me.

We have a statue of Shirdi Sai Baba.

I drew Shirdi Sai Baba in Clip Studio Paint.

Three statements

First statement 

My funny cartoons shall be well balanced artwork with to the point joke.

Second statement 

My portraits/caricatures shall have great resemblance with well shaded colors, with shadows and with light highlights all working together to give a perfect portraiture/caricature. 

Third statement 

My comic drawing will have great 3d effect with shadows, shadings, highlights.  They shall also have great textures from now onwards if possible. 

These are my guiding statements and I shall be working towards these.

I want to be a very great artist like Leonardo DaVinci and I shall reach there, one day. 😄😄😄

"There goes the man that I was talking about. He always keeps a newspaper in front covering his face when he walks. He probably has taken loans from his neighbours and friends. And he covers his face to hide it from his lenders. What other better reason could be there as to why he covers his face with a newspaper ?" 

Two practices

I plan to only shade and get an Asaro head. This I believe will improve my portraits/caricatures drawing. 

PdcaDCA comic drawing 

I plan to stress for a lot of perspective in my comic drawing practices.  This calls for a more than one PDCA.  I have termed it PdcaDCA.

PDCA for comics drawings

I am into PDCA for comics drawings. 

You may recall that PDCA worked for me very well in cartoons drawings. 

Now I am trying to improve comics drawings quality by PDCA.  Time frame is one year.

I am not too happy with my current comic drawing. 

I do caricatures to pep up myself.  You may have seen that in last three blog posts.

It will be wonderful to have pencils and paper and make money with these two. This drives me mad and I pursue caricatures/portraits due to this driving force.

I am strong in Golden Ratio.  Proportions. 

I use Loomis method and Asaro head principles to draw a head. A mixture of these two.

I expect my cosine hatching to give me accurate volume to my shading.
