Fun with a pencil

The above is the title of a book by Andrew Loomis.

One needs a pencil and paper to try art. Nothing more. Andrew  Loomis was a great teacher.  He is no more now. But his books are so good. And he drew so well. He had a great amount of confidence. 

I also got materials of Lou Darvas. And a caricature book of Tom Richmond too. But somehow I learnt a lot only from Andrew Loomis.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is India's favorite batsman. If he gets going he may become unstoppable.

Suryakumar Yadav looks tough. And he is tough on the pitch too. I tried to capture his tough look.

Prasidh Krishna

I was impressed with the performance of Prasidh Krishna in yesterday match.

I decided to do a funny portrait (caricature) of him.

Prasidh Krishna has a great potential.  If he gets good backing from team management and the sponsors he can go a long way.

If a person is a star then I attempt a realistic portrait. If not a reasonably big star, then a caricature.  And I do drawings sometimes because I admire the guys. And I feel I am good in proportions.
