Cosine hatching are the V hatching. English alphabet V starting from 180 degrees to 90 degrees all starting from a point.
If cosine hatching is for dark values then cosine hatching is for lighter values too. This is DaVinci law.
By so controlling cosine hatching perfect shading can be done.
